I recently realised the nostalgia of youth hides the truth of what growing up and attending school is really like. People look back on their younger days with a rose tinted nostalgia, and seemingly forget about the difficultly of adolescence, and the stress and pressure that comes with attending high school. My current practice explores this photographically; capturing obviously staged, idyllic scenes we all covet, whilst holding an atmosphere of ominousness.
