TePe

Interdental Chrysanthemums (2016)

I wanted to capture the mix of TePe’s uniformity and bright colours, and also keep a natural, organic feel to the work to link it back to the location of the offices – Somerset. This is what drew me toward making flowers out of the Angled Interdental Brushes.
They are very much based on Chrysanthemum flowers, which again is a link to the uniformity and the bright colours linked to TePe. The choice of wooden doweling for the flower stalks was very purposeful – it further adds to the organic nature of what I was trying to create, and it is also representative of TePes first product, the wooden toothpick.

A singular, hanging sculpture inspired by pinecones. Made with TePe’s yellow brush handles. This was was created as a secondary sculpture to Interdental Chrysanthemums, with the same idea of mixing uniformity and nature,
